Default Can You Salvage Dye From Armor/Weapons?

I have quite the collection of dyes in my Xunlai chest and am thinking about finally dying my armor. However, since I only just managed to find my very first black dye, I don't want to risk wasting it by using it on armor that I'll only end up selling later on if I find something with better stats.

I don't suppose dye can be salvaged once it's been used, can it?

Salvaging dye is quite unrealistic....

As everyone above me has stated: no, you can NOT. Once the dye is applied, that particular vial is out of the game gone forever.

If only, if only...

Sadly, it can't. I once tried to argue that Dye Remover should have been changed to Dye Extractor, but no luck there.

Assuming you have max armor (60 for Monk/Mesmer/Ele/Ritualist/Necro, 70 for Ranger/Dervish/Assassin, 80 for Warrior/Paragon), there is no such thing as better stats armor, with the possible exception of headpieces giving you different inherent bonuses if you need to change your build.

As for the rest of your question, like everybody else said, can't salvage dye.

unless you have max armor(armor levels given by zelgadissan) i wouldn't even bother with dyes or runes as you will just replace it anyway.

Also nobody is going to want to buy armor that's always customized to your specific character. Go on guildwiki and look up the different armor styles. If you find one you like you might want to save the dye for that armor.

That info is quite helpful, thanks. Since I now know the max armor values, I can go check out teh armor sets on the wiki (as Espadon suggested) and see if I can find a set that I like better than my current one.

Thanks you all.
